Part Purpose:
The thermostat regulates the voltage to the heater to maintain desired temperature.
Part location on dryer:
The thermostat is located on the side of the metal housing containing the heating element. The heating element is located on the bottom right of the dryer under the drum.
Part failure symptoms:
A bad thermostat can cause multiple issues. Symptoms include low heat, no heat, or causing the thermal cutoff to blow.
Part diagnosis:
