AGM30045804 Thermistor Kit for LG Kenmore Dryer
Part No. AGM30045804
- Purpose: This high-limit thermostat and thermistor kit is designed for LG and Kenmore dryers. The high-limit thermostat monitors the dryer’s internal temperature, shutting off the heat source if temperatures become dangerously high to prevent overheating. The thermistor is a temperature sensor that helps regulate the dryer’s temperature during operation.
- Location: Both components are typically located within the dryer’s heating element housing or blower housing, depending on the specific model.
- Failure Symptoms:
- Dryer not heating properly or not heating at all
- Dryer shutting off during cycles
- Excessive heat emanating from the dryer
- Diagnosis: Inspect both the thermostat and thermistor for signs of damage or wear. Use a multimeter to test for continuity; a lack of continuity indicates a faulty component. Alternatively, contact the U-FIX-IT store for free diagnosis assistance.
- Cross Reference Info: Replaces part numbers 6323EL2001B, 6931EL3002B, 6931EL3003C, 6931EL3003F, 6931EL3004B
